When you need some extra help.

Maybe you hired someone, and things just aren't adding up.

Maybe you've been wearing so many hats that you've lost track of which is which.

Maybe your aunt's best friend's sister said that he was an accounting expert and could handle it all for free.

Maybe it started yesterday, and maybe it's been an issue for years.

Whatever the root cause may be, I can help.

Clean-up services are exactly what they sound like. They're the process of having someone go back through your books and make sure that everything is properly accounted for. This may involve reconciling accounts that have never been reconciled before. It may be just verifying that previously reconciled items actually make sense. It may involve reviewing third party systems to make sure that your accounting system reflects reality.

Red Flags

If you're reading this page, you might already have an idea of what some red flags in your accounting might be. However, here are a few things that should make you particularly concerned:

  • Unreconciled accounts (especially bank accounts, but really any balance sheet account)
  • Longstanding accounts receivable or accounts payable (over 90 days)
  • No system in place to compare the accounting system to sources of truth, such as payroll reports or POS systems
  • Negative balances on the balance sheet
  • Transaction misclassifications
  • Cash Flow omissions

Any one of these items can indicate a serious problem with your business's finances. If these are ringing any bells for you, please don't hesitate to reach out, so we can talk through your situation together.
